The Great White Silence


Had to constantly remind myself that most of what I was watching was a) totally real and b) 100 years old.
Awe inspiring to say the least.

    Toward the start of the film it does jump out as a bit incongruously modern and there's a weird, jarring burst of dialogue in the middle, but by the end it all gets pleasantly hymnal.
