Murder Party

Faintly amusing tale of a man who dresses up as a cardboard knight and then mistakenly attends a party where he is to be murdered as part of a performance art piece.

Paranormal Activity 3

The guys that made Catfish add a touch of flair to the Paranormal Activity formula. However the standout scares that just about save the film also further remove it from the creepy malevolence that made the original so good.

The Lorax [3D]

I never thought I'd say this but... It needed more songs and less action sequences. My teeth were gritted as I typed that.

Zathura

For some reason, prior to watching, I held the belief that this was a shit Jumanji. Turns out it's a vastly improved Jumanji. Bonus.

The Dark Knight Rises [IMAX]

It was never going to be as good as The Dark Knight, however it is the best possible end to what is now a phenomenal trilogy.

Orphan

Well. Didn't see that one coming.

Killer Joe

Sleazy.

Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

With a Bond spoof wedging the tongue in the cheek from the start, this entry positively revels in being deliciously trashy and winking at you as it does so.
My favourite of the many, many sequels.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

A refreshingly bloat free pirates romp. Made Charlotte gasp, made me pleased that at least there were no talking animals (unless you count Orlando Bloom).

Paranormal Activity 2

Dismal non-entity of a sequel that I only watched because I want to watch the third one and didn't want to be missing out on any vital plot points. In retrospect I probably should have just used Wikipedia.

Amer

The tropes of Giallo (Bava & Argento in particular) are wedded with the expressionist cinema of Lynch to create a sumptuously vivid tumble of imagery reminiscent of Tarkovsky's Mirror, only with considerably more pretty ladies, razors and corpses.

The Aggression Scale

Home Alone with Macaulay Culkin played by Jason Bourne.

Dead Alive [Braindead]

Whilst it was brilliant to be able to watch the eternally excellent Braindead in pristine, crystal clear widescreen, it's a shame the only version available on Blu-Ray is the illogically cut US version.
Somebody needs to sort that out, I guess for now I'll keep hold of my VHS copy.
