As Bond tries to be more and more real it all looks more and more absurd.

    Po-faced balderdash. I blame Nolan. By far the best aspect is Bardem chewing the scenery, which is ironic given the state of his gnashers.

    Probably the best Craig bond, which means it better than all the bronsans, probably better than the two Dalton's which themselves are better than all the Moore's (golden gun is my fave, spy who loved me is the one where bond started going wrong). Therefore its the best bond for at least 40 years. But it is still just a bond film. The critical adoration is OTT.

    I'm a big fan of Nolan's desire to give a psychological reality to fantastical characters and for the most part it has worked in the Craig bonds, but not as successfully at batman. Scenes like the komodo dragon scene or the defibrillator scene in casino royale jar too much.
